As referred to the criteria defined by Ministry of Science and Education (MES) and quotas approved by the Albanian Government, the categories eligible to attend studies at AUT are: Albanian citizens, ethnic Albanians, and foreign citizens. In conformity with the instructions of MES, the new candidates, who have graduated from high school, have to take the entry exam in order to attend either full time or by correspondence system.

The admission exams are based on the programs of high, vocational, or technical schools.

The individuals interested in taking the admission exam have to register at the respective Faculty secretaries, after having filled and turned in the required documentation, which includes:

1. Candidate's request, where are indicated (the desired area of study, payment or non-payment form of study, accommodation request, type of high education accomplished)

2. High school Maturity Diploma, or a legalized photocopy of it

3. Legal-Medical Certificate

4. Personal certificate with photo

5. Other documents which certify the status of the candidate (free quota, etc.)

According to the MES set criteria relative to the entry exam, only the students, who have collected the minimal number of scores and above, are eligible to enrolling.

The successful candidate enjoys the right to attend studies in the new academic year, only after having enrolled at the respective Faculty's teaching secretary, within the deadline foreseen in the instructions.

In order to get enrolled, the student presents at the respective Faculty teaching secretary, the documentation according to the instructions provided by MES and AUT Regulation.

The successful candidate is vested the student's tatus, after having been enrolled at the Teaching secretary.The last one provides the candidate with Student's Registration Card,and Students Grades Certificate

The student's status ends up with his/her graduation, or when he/she drops out.
