The Bachelor’s program in “Food Technology” is characterized by a clear interdisciplinary approach, integrating in a balanced way natural sciences, technology and engineering, as well as economic, social, and legal aspects. Natural sciences provide the foundation for understanding food composition, chemical reactions, and biological processes that affect product quality and safety. The technology and engineering component is the core of this study program and focuses on food processing, processing technologies and food production systems, the use of equipment, and the development of modern industrial production processes. In parallel, the economic, social, and legal dimension equips students with knowledge of management, market functioning, and the regulatory framework that ensures high standards and consumer protection. This combination makes the program comprehensive and prepares students to understand the agri-food sector.
