UBT Strengthens Scientific Research through the READ Program

The Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT) organized an informational meeting with academic staff and doctoral candidates on the READ Program – Research Expertise from the Academic Diaspora, under the auspices of the Vice-Rector for Science and Projects, Prof. Dr. Erinda Lika, as part of the university’s efforts to advance scientific research and international cooperation in higher education.

Enrik Keco, Project Manager at AADF, presented and explained the READ Program in detail, focusing on its objectives, operating mechanisms, and the opportunities it offers to UBT academics and doctoral candidates by creating bridges of cooperation with Albanian researchers working in international universities and research centers. This collaboration aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, experience, and contemporary practices in the field of scientific research.

Over the years, the Agricultural University of Tirana has benefited from this program through significant collaborations in the life sciences related to sustainable development. These projects have made a valuable contribution to advancing scientific research and strengthening UBT’s role as a leading institution in this field.

This engagement in READ projects reinforces UBT’s role as a major research hub in Albania, linking scientific research with contemporary international practices and technologies. Furthermore, the university encouraged staff and doctoral candidates to apply to upcoming calls of the program, which offer research grants and opportunities for collaboration with the academic diaspora.

These projects aim to bring advanced scientific and technological expertise to key areas important for the development of life sciences and higher education in Albania.
