Welcome to the Faculty of Economy and Agribusiness (FEA)
Welcome to the Faculty of Economy and Agribusiness (FEA). The Faculty of Economy and Agribusiness (FEA)is one of the most important faculties within the Agricultural University of Tirana (AUT). Established in 1971 under the name Faculty of Agrarian Economics, FEA has played a vital role in preparing new professionals to support the country’s socio-economic development. Following the 1990s, like other units within AUT, the Faculty quickly adopted a new approach, embracing reforms to meet the evolving challenges and dynamics of the labor market and the higher education system in Albania.
Today, FEA consists of six departments: Agribusiness Management, Economics and Rural Development Policies, Finance and Accounting, Mathematics and Informatics, Rural Tourism Management and Foreign Languages. As the largest academic unit at AUT, FEA serves around 3,000 students, with 90 full-time academic staff and 8 support staff. It currently offers 21 degree programs across all three cycles of study (Bachelor, Master, and PhD).
FEA stands as a leading center for research and expertise in the fields of economics, agribusiness, and rural development. Its mission extends beyond education, encompassing consultancy and the generation of ideas that drive the growth of Albania’s agribusiness sector.

FEA's mission is to provide in-depth knowledge through education, research, training, and the delivery of expertise in the fields of agribusiness management, economics and integrated rural development policies, business informatics, finance, accounting, auditing, marketing, agrotourism, and the application of information technology - in order to successfully address the challenges and needs of the economy, the agribusiness system, and rural development.

The vision of the Faculty is to transform itself into a center of excellence enjoying a excellent reputation at both the national and regional levels in terms of knowledge and innovation dissemination through professional and academic education, scientific research, the implementation of innovation, and the provision of expertise in support of the economy, the agribusiness system, and rural development in the Albanian-speaking area and beyond.

Department of Economics and Rural Development Policies
The Department of Economics and Rural Development Policy is unique in higher education in Albania with study programs that precede the economic and social development of the country. It offers study programs and makes research in areas such as agrarian and rural development policies, applied economics in agriculture, natural resources and environmental management, rural administration, etc.
Department of Finance and Accounting

Department of Foreign Languages
The Department of Foreign Languages is an integral part of the Faculty of Economy and Agribusiness. This department provides a supportive role across all the departments of the different faculties at the Agricultural University of Tirana. We teach the module of English for Specific Purposes and Medical Terminology (Latin) in the bachelor’s degree.
