At the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food (FBU), we aim to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education that empowers students with in-depth knowledge, practical skills, and ethical values – preparing them to excel in their professional and scientific careers.
Through advanced research, inter-institutional collaboration, and modern teaching, we shape:
- Food Technologist,
- Food biotechnologists,
- Food and food safety experts,
able to contribute to all links in the food chain: from the processing of raw materials of plant and animal origin, to packaging, storage, marketing, and ensuring the quality and safety of products.
We are committed to the implementation of quality assurance and food management systems, while promoting the active involvement of students, academic staff, and FBU units in advanced education, research, and training programs.
FBU remains an important partner in building a sustainable and secure food system for the future.

The vision at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food (FBU) is to advance towards the modernization and continuous accreditation of our study programs, working on strong foundations of:

Our aim is for every graduate of FBU to be equipped with scientific and professional competencies, ready to make a concrete contribution in key sectors such as:
