Agriculture Sciences and Food Security

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Agricultural Sciences and Food Safety” offers five specializations in the third year: Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Science, and Aquaculture & Fisheries, and is developed in collaboration with BOKU University to respond to labor market needs. It provides both theoretical and practical training in crop and livestock production, farm management, and aquaculture, with a focus on the use of innovative technologies and methods to increase productivity and sustainability. The program prepares professionals for the agri-food sector and public institutions, developing analytical, technical, and managerial competencies for the sustainable development of modern agriculture.

Environmental and Water Engineering

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Environmental and Water Engineering” offers two specializations in the third year: “Water Management” and “Natural Resources Management”, and is oriented toward addressing challenges such as climate change, water management, and environmental protection. The program is designed according to the academic standards of BOKU University in Vienna and integrates engineering with environmental sciences and natural resources for a modern interdisciplinary education. It prepares specialists with theoretical and practical competencies in water management, environmental protection, and sustainable development, including the design of technical solutions, EIA/SEA processes, and the implementation of EU environmental legislation.

Information Technology in Agriculture and Environment

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Information Technology in Agriculture and Environment” is a modern interdisciplinary program that equips students with technical and practical skills to lead digital transformation in agriculture and environmental management. It is oriented toward the needs of digital transformation in Albanian agriculture and EU integration, in collaboration with BOKU University, with a focus on programming, IoT, GIS, and data analysis. The program prepares specialists for smart agriculture and environmental protection, with competencies in data management, precision agriculture, GIS/remote sensing, and the automation of decision-making processes.

Landscape planning and Architecture

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Landscape Planning and Architecture” prepares professionals capable of planning, designing, managing, and developing landscapes in order to improve quality of life and the environment. It treats the territory as an ecological, social, and aesthetic system, addressing challenges such as urbanization, climate change, and the need for green infrastructure. The program equips students with competencies in landscape analysis and planning, the use of digital tools such as GIS and CAD, and project management with professional, ethical, and environmental responsibility.​

Economics

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Economics” offers two profiles in the third year: “Development Economics and Policy” and “Applied Economics”, focusing on economic analysis and sustainable development. It takes an analytical approach that responds to labor market needs in the economic, agricultural, agri-food, and rural development sectors, with an emphasis on applied economics and development policy. The program prepares students with competencies in market analysis, public policy evaluation, and the use of quantitative and qualitative methods, enabling careers in the public sector, private sector, NGOs, and development agencies.

Business Management

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Business Management” offers two profiles in the third year: “Agribusiness Management” and “Rural Tourism Management”, focusing on strategic sectors for economic and rural development. It is a practice-oriented program, implemented in collaboration with BOKU University, and aligned with labor market needs, with a strong emphasis on agribusiness and rural tourism as high-potential employment fields. The program prepares students with competencies in management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to lead modern businesses and value chains in the agri-food and tourism sectors.

Finance and Accounting

The First Cycle Bachelor’s Program in ‘Finance-Accounting’ trains professionals in the field of finance and accounting for the public sector, the private sector, and agribusiness, supporting economic decision-making in the agricultural sector. It provides theoretical and practical training in finance, accounting, and financial management in cooperation with BOKU University, aligned with the contemporary requirements of the labor market. The program equips students with competencies in financial analysis, accounting reporting, risk management, budgeting, and investment evaluation, enabling them to pursue careers in financial institutions, businesses, and public administration.


Business Informatics

The First Cycle Bachelor’s Program in ‘Business Informatics’ provides an integrated education in computer science, business administration, and economics, aiming at the design, implementation, and management of information systems for modern organizations. It is developed in cooperation with BOKU University and offers theoretical and practical training for the development and optimization of information and communication systems in line with European standards. The program equips students with competencies in developing data management systems, integrating digital technologies into business, financial management, and building innovative platforms for the economy and agribusiness.

Food Technology

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Food Technology” focuses on the production, processing, and preservation of food, linking raw materials with technology and food safety. It offers career opportunities in the food industry, analytical laboratories, quality control, and product development, combining theory with modern practical training in collaboration with BOKU University. The program prepares students to produce safe, high-quality, and sustainable food products, with competencies in food technology, implementation of safety and quality standards, as well as problem-solving skills and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments.

Food and Nutrition Sciences

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Food and Nutrition Sciences” focuses on the impact of food and lifestyle on human health, addressing the relationship between dietary habits and non-communicable chronic diseases. It offers career opportunities in nutrition, public health, nutrition education, and nutritional assessment, in collaboration with BOKU University and with a modern scientific approach. The program prepares students with competencies in analyzing food systems, evaluating food quality and safety, and applying research and biostatistical methods for interdisciplinary work and advanced studies.

Forest Engineering

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Forest Engineering” offers two profiles: “Forest Ecosystem Management” and “Nature Protection and Biodiversity”, combining technical-professional and creative skills for the sustainable management of forests and pastures. It provides practical experience in the assessment and governance of natural resources, with a focus on preserving forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and the use of innovative technologies. The program prepares specialists for forest assessment and management, project implementation, and the application of forest bioeconomy principles in support of sustainable development.

Interior Design and Wood Engineering

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Interior Design and Wood Engineering” offers two profiles: “Wood Technology Engineering” and “Furniture and Interior Design”, combining technical and creative skills for the wood industry. It focuses on preparing students for the design, processing, and management of wood materials, with an emphasis on sustainability, ecological solutions, and the use of modern technologies. The program prepares professionals with competencies in wood processing technologies, aesthetic and functional design, knowledge of materials, as well as project management and teamwork in the creative and production industries.

Veterinary Medicine

The Study Program in ‘Veterinary Medicine’ aims to train qualified and dedicated professionals ready to contribute to the preservation and improvement of animal, human, and environmental health. It provides an integrated theoretical and practical education in partnership with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (Universität für Bodenkultur Wien) and the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna (Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien), in accordance with European standards, combining theory and practice over a 5.5-year program. The program prepares veterinarians with competencies in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, as well as in public health, animal welfare, and food safety through clinical and epidemiological approaches.
