The Agricultural University of Tirana welcomed to its premises graduating students from “Aleks Buda” School in Tirana for an informative and orientation activity about the study programs offered by the university. This visit took place under UBT’s initiative to present its academic offerings to high school seniors who are facing one of the most important decisions of their lives: choosing their field of study.
The presentations were delivered by representatives of UBT’s five faculties: the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Economics and Agribusiness, the Faculty of Forestry Sciences, and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food. Each faculty presented its respective study programs, opportunities for professional internships, modern laboratories, as well as the employment prospects available to students after graduation.
During the meeting, the graduating students were closely introduced to the diverse academic offer and to the university’s latest developments in the field of internationalization.
Special emphasis was placed on international collaborations, including the strategic partnership with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), which has brought joint study programs, academic exchanges, and European standards in teaching and scientific research. This cooperation represents an important step toward the further internationalization of UBT and the enhancement of academic quality.
For some time now, UBT has intensified its informative presentations in high schools, with the aim of providing young people with clearer guidance toward fields that are priorities for the country’s development.
