AUT signs a cooperation agreement with the Italian AGRION Foundation for research and innovation in agriculture.

The Agricultural University of Tirana has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Foundation for Research, Innovation and Technological Development in Piedmontese Agriculture (AGRION), one of the most important centers for agri-food research and innovation in Italy.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, and the President of the AGRION Foundation, Dr. Giacomo Ballari, marking an important step in strengthening AUT’s international cooperation in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and sustainable development in the agro-environmental sector.

This agreement aims to develop joint research and innovative projects in areas of mutual interest, including agriculture, the environment, natural resources, veterinary medicine, agricultural economics, rural development, and food security.

The cooperation will also focus on technology transfer, the promotion of sustainable agri-food practices, and the improvement of the quality of agricultural production.

An important component of the cooperation will also be the provision of professional services and consultancy for public institutions and the private sector, fostering innovation and the practical application of scientific results.

This new partnership further strengthens the role and position of the Agricultural University of Tirana as an academic institution oriented toward internationalization, applied research, and innovation.
