AUT students undertake practical training in the wood industry

Students of the Furniture Design and Wood Engineering program at AUT carried out practical training in collaboration with wood-processing companies, building a direct connection between classroom education and the reality of the industry.

During this field experience, they had the opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with production processes, the operation of modern machinery and equipment, as well as the technical standards applied in the modern wood-processing industry.

The main focus of the internships was to become familiar with new technologies that are taking an increasingly important place in the Albanian market, directly impacting the growth of production efficiency and the improvement of the quality of final products. Through observing concrete work processes, the students gained a clearer understanding of the organization of departments, the division of processes according to production stages, and the forms of internal management that ensure coordination and the efficient functioning of industrial activities.

This experience also gave students a more practical perspective on entrepreneurship in the field of design and wood processing. By closely observing real models of production organization and management, they were encouraged to think about innovative initiatives and concrete opportunities for creating startups that combine creativity, technology, and market demands.
