A unique wooden installation was presented today at AUT, designed by third-year students of the Furniture Design program.
The installation carries the symbolic message 'I Love UBT,' thus reflecting the students’ connection with the university. This element makes the piece not only functional but also an expression of identity and emotion for the university community.
Designed as a landmark and recreational space for UBT students, the installation will serve as an area for collaboration and relaxation. The project represents the blend of creativity, functionality, and environmental responsibility, as it is designed and will be made using wooden pallets, making it environmentally friendly.
The project will soon be installed at UBT.
According to the implementing team, the installation contributes to the aesthetics and modern identity of the UBT campus.
The students were mentored throughout the entire process of conceptualizing and designing the installation and will continue to be guided during its construction by lecturer Besar Shehu, who has provided professional guidance and creative support in the realization of this project. This project demonstrates the commitment of UBT students and academic staff to developing innovative ideas and applying the knowledge gained during their studies in practice, transforming learning into a concrete experience with a meaningful impact on the university community.
