Agronomy


  • To prepare specialists with deep knowledge in Agronomy Horticulture and Plant Protection.
  • Improve student abilities in understanding plant function in different climatic conditions and biotic and abiotic stress situation
  • Prepare the students with deeper research competences


  • Be able to apply the modern cultivation technologies in different climatic and soil conditions
  • Be able to explain plants biochemical and physiological behavior and reaction under normal conditions and stress situations
  • Evaluate and adapt farming practices to climate change scenarios and local environmental conditions.
  • Innovate in crop breeding, protection, and post-harvest handling to improve food security.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research to address current and emerging challenges in crop production.​

During the development of this program, the drafters were guided by the principle of an interdisciplinary approach. This principle aims to integrate analytical methods and tools from different disciplines, producing new knowledge and solutions to complex problems with a real impact on agricultural production, environmental protection and technology transfer, in the conditions of rapid dynamics of the agricultural and rural sector. In accordance with international standards, the program integrates knowledge from the fields of social sciences, natural sciences and technical sciences, providing a comprehensive education that prepares students to face complex challenges in the real labor market.​

  • Bachelor in Agriculture and Food Security
  • With supplementary modules also students from other Bachelor studies within the AUT or also from other Universities
