The Agricultural University of Tirana had the pleasure of welcoming the volunteer team from World Vets for a special lecture and a meeting with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku.
The event brought together students and faculty members from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the auditorium, giving them the opportunity to learn firsthand about the experience and contributions of this international organization in providing veterinary services around the world.
During the lecture, representatives of World Vets presented their work in dozens of countries around the world, sharing knowledge and best practices on field veterinary services, anesthesia safety, animal sterilization campaigns, and the practical techniques used in their international missions. Students and academic staff had the opportunity to engage with the experts, discuss relevant topics, and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities associated with veterinary work in diverse global contexts.
The meeting also served as a valuable opportunity for the exchange of professional experiences and for strengthening ties between the Agricultural University of Tirana and international organizations that contribute to the advancement of veterinary education and practice. The event was met with great interest by students, inspiring them to further engage in their professional development and participate in initiatives that have a positive impact on animal health and welfare.
