Prof. Shpresim Domi has been elected President of the Global Agritourism Network (GAN), one of the leading international organizations dedicated to agritourism and rural development.
Prof. Domi assumes this important position in recognition of his many years of contribution to the promotion of agritourism, rural tourism, and sustainable development models in the sector. The Global Agritourism Network brings together experts, universities, and institutions from around the world to advance and promote agritourism as a strategic driver of rural economies and sustainable tourism.
At the Agricultural University of Tirana, agritourism and rural tourism represent key areas of education and research, forming one of the institution’s strategic priorities for academic and scientific development.
This appointment represents international recognition of Albanian expertise and marks an important milestone in strengthening the Agricultural University of Tirana’s role within global agritourism networks.
