At the Agricultural University of Tirana, a workshop entitled “Development of the Strategy for Fundraising and Partnerships of the Agricultural University of Tirana” was organized, with the participation of the university’s leadership, academic staff, and representatives of the Directorate of Projects and Development. The event was organized in cooperation with the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), the BRIDGE Project, and ANTTARC.
The workshop aimed to foster discussion on developing a sustainable approach to expanding partnerships and strengthening the university’s capacity to attract national and international funding, in support of scientific research and institutional development.
Ms. Brixhilda Gurakuqi and Mr. Enrik Keco from AADF presented the BRIDGE project and the opportunities it offers for strengthening collaboration between universities and other development stakeholders. Meanwhile, Mr. Myftar Doci from ANTTARC presented the methodology of the strategic planning process for the development of the Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy.
The discussion also focused on the current situation of the Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT) in the area of fundraising and partnerships, analyzing its strengths and weaknesses, as well as existing opportunities and challenges. In addition, participants addressed organizational models, cooperation between the Directorate of Projects and Development and the university’s faculties and departments, and the priority needs for improving project management and development across the institution.
Representatives of AADF, BRIDGE, and ANTTARC also held a meeting at the Rectorate with the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, and the Vice-Rector for Science and Projects, Prof. Dr. Erinda Lika. During the meeting, discussions focused on the prospects for institutional cooperation and the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships.
Rector Sallaku expressed his appreciation for AADF’s contribution to supporting higher education and institutional development in Albania, emphasizing that the Agricultural University of Tirana continues its efforts to strengthen academic capacities and expand opportunities for international projects and collaborations.
