Department of Agribusiness Management

The Department of “Agribusiness Management” (DDA) is one of the fundamental and traditional units of the Faculty of Economics and Agribusiness at the Agricultural University of Tirana. This department aims to be a center of excellence in education, research and community service, in function of the sustainable development of businesses in the agricultural and food sector in Albania and beyond.

✅ Mission

The mission of the Department of “Agribusiness Management” is to contribute to the preparation of qualified specialists in the field of business management by offering students an in-depth academic education, supported by scientific research and contemporary professional practices.

🌟 Focus

The main focus of the activity of the Department of “Agribusiness Management” consists of: i) educating students with contemporary and practical knowledge in the management, management and marketing of businesses in the agricultural and agribusiness sectors; ii) developing scientific research in key areas of management and marketing such as: market analysis, supply chain management, risk management, food standards and safety, as well as the efficiency of agri-food enterprises; ii) Increasing cooperation with the private sector and public institutions to improve management practices;

The fundamental values that guide all academic and research activity in the Department of “Agribusiness Management” are:

1. Academic responsibility and professional integrity, in function of the qualitative formation of students and the production of knowledge
2. Innovation and continuous improvement, to reflect new trends in business management with a focus on agro-industry.
3. Interdisciplinary and inter-institutional cooperation, as part of a vision for combining science with practice.
