Department of Finance Accounting

The Department of Finance and Accounting was established in 2007, in the same year with the establishment and restructuring of the Faculty of Economics and Agribusiness. This department was established while maintaining the continuity of the two departments, Finance and Accounting, which existed until 1994. The Finance and Accounting Department is organized in accordance with the Statute of Agricultural University of Tirana (AUT), undergoing quantitative and qualitative changes. The number of academic staff today is 17 lecturers, who are organized in two scientific teaching groups, Finance and Accounting. The staff of the department has a high level of qualification in the categories Professor (69 %) and Doctor of Science (25 %). The programs offered by the department ensure the implementation of education standards by increasing the possibilities of cooperation within the EU projects, ERASMUS + to increase the academic capacities and student exchanges with well-known universities abroad.

✅ Mission

The mission of the Department of Finance and Accounting is to prepare qualified specialists in the field of finance and accounting for the public, private and non-profit sector, preparing them with in-depth theoretical, practical and scientific knowledge. The mission will be fulfilled by offering study programs in the first, second and third cycle, as well as by conducting continuous activities in scientific research. This mission is in full accordance with the mission, vision and strategic plan of the Agricultural University of Tirana, as well as with the strategic priorities for the development and integration of Albania in the EU.

Department of Finance and Accounting offers three levels study programs as the following: a) study program of the first cycle Bachelor in Finance and Accounting; ii) study program of second cycle in Professional Master, Finance-Banking and Accounting-Auditing; iv) study program in Master of Science in Finance-Accounting; and v) third cycle of doctoral study in Finance and Accounting.
