Urime Erinda Lika e cila përfundoi programin e saj Fulbright Visiting Scholar në Michigan State University. Hulumtimi i saj u fokusua në mbetjet e antibiotikëve në produktet me origjinë shtazore dhe identifikimin e gjeneve të rezistencës antimikrobike që qarkullojnë nga mjedisi te njerëzit dhe kafshët, një shqetësim në rritje gjatë pandemisë COVID-19. Hulumtimi i Erindës e njohu atë me teknologji të përparuara për zbulimin e patogjenëve të ndryshëm infektivë dhe ndezi diskutime produktive rreth bashkëpunimeve të mundshme midis Universitetit Bujqësor të Tiranës dhe Universitetit Grand Valley. Mezi presim të shohim ndikimin e kërkimit të Erindës në shëndetin publik.

Congratulations to Erinda Lika who completed her Fulbright Visiting Scholar program at Michigan State University. Her research focused on antibiotic residues in products of animal origin and identifying antimicrobic resistance genes that circulate from the environment to humans and animals, a growing concern in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Erinda’s research introduced her to advanced technologies for detecting various infectious pathogens and sparked productive discussions about potential collaborations between the Agricultural University of Tirana and Grand Valley University. We look forward to seeing the impact of Erinda's research on public health.
